Blacktown’s Streets Alive & Parade Day With The Collective

The best part of the Blacktown’s City Festival Week, was the Streets Alive, Parade Day it had over 350 Street Stalls (the best local food), 6 Performance Stages with local performers, Gourmet Food Stalls, interesting displays and heaps of attractions for the kids.
Blacktown City’s CBD streets were packed with over 80,000 with the Public transport holding up to cater for the massive influx of excited festival residents.
Len Robinson said “the Blacktown City Festival, Streets Alive and Parade Day make up one of the largest community celebrations in western Sydney.”
“It draws in amazing crowds full of community spirit, and we invite everyone to join,” Cr Robinson said.
There was plenty to buy with local handcrafted jewellery and lots of show bags with balloons.
The Collective who was on 2012 X-Factor series made the crowd go wild and people come from near and far to see them.
All in all Streets Alive is set to just get bigger and bigger as Blacktown sets its sights on building their way into a fully-fledged city.
